 Deacon John Henry White Jr., 63, of Ridgeland passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.

John Henry White, Jr. was born October 2, 1957 to the late Deacon
John Henry White, Sr. and the late Janie Ruth White. “Shi” as we affectionately
called by his family and friends. He joined the Second Euhaw Missionary
Baptist Church at an early age.
Shi attended Schools in the Jasper County School System where he
participated in many school activities such as; singing in the choir, drum major
in the band, he played football and basketball and was also part of the ROTC.
After high school, he attended Shaw University in North Carolina. He pledged
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Que Dog). He was ordained as a Deacon in
December 2012 under the leadership of Rev. Jacob White.
Shi enjoyed gardening, sports, reading, singing and spending time
with his family. He was an avid outdoors person. On Sunday, July 18, 2021,
Shi answered God's Call and made his transition to his heavenly home. Shi is
preceded in death by his daughter Shinikque S. Bolden, son Shirese A. Bolden,
one sister Reather Gregory, and three brothers; Conrad White, Jackie Mitchell,
and William Fripp.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: His loving wife Magalene
Herring White, two children; Akiem Bolden (Asia) and Laquecia Mitchell, step
children; Rondell (Tamara) Herring and Siwand Herring, two sisters; Edithe
M. Heyward, and Laritza Fripp, one brother; Malcolm Fripp, three brothers-inlaw;
Thomas Herring, Patrick Herring of Jersey City, NJ and Michael Herring of
Garland, NC, four sisters-in-law; Evonne Herring of Jersey City, NJ, Christine
Scott, Maryann Fripp and Felicia Mitchell; one grand-aunt; Katheryn Bostick,
four grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews, a nephew he helped raised
Rashied (Bam) Mervin, four grand-nieces, five grand-nephews, and a huge
host of cousins and other relatives.
