Allen Funeral Home understands the severity and the risk involved with the Coronavirus. As a public entity, we want to inform you that we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure that we reduce your risk to exposure while in attendance at our facility.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we want to make sure we are doing all we can to prevent the spread of this virus. We take these precautions not out of fear but out of caution and respect for those we serve. We are still committed to providing the best possible service to our community.

  •  We will continue to have a licensed director available 24/7 to assist with any needs.
  • We will continue to have arrangement conferences available (these may be done in person or by phone)
  • We have the ability to live stream services held at our Allen Funeral Home Chapels.

Following are some recommendations by the CDC and the National Funeral Directors Association that you may want to consider if you are making arrangements:

  • Consider small family gatherings (50 people) or private services held in our chapel and broadcasted on the internet.
  • Consider private graveside services.

Some alternate ways to your respect to a family include:

  • Coming by the funeral home early to sign a register book.
  • Sign the online register book.
  • Call the family or send a card

The CDC recommends that gatherings be small (50 or less), so if you choose to come, be mindful of the time you spend with the family so that others may come and go without a long wait.

Most of all we urge you to use common sense: WASH YOUR HANDS, WEAR YOUR MASK, stay home if you are sick, and be mindful about shaking hands or hugging.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and keep you updated as any changes occur. As always, we are grateful to all those who allow us to serve them during difficult times and we do not take our responsibility to our community lightly. We will continue to pray that the Lord will exterminate this virus quickly. Please feel free to call if you have any questions about our efforts to keep our great community safe.

Remember that attending funeral service, public gathering or events is at YOUR OWN RISK.
