James Robertson Jr.

Mr. James Robertson Jr., 83, of Bristol, PA, formerly of Point South, SC passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorn, PA.  A viewing will be 5 pm to 7 pm, on Thursday, August 06, 2020, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel Complex of Ridgeland, SC.  Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 07, 2020, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel Complex of Ridgeland, SC. Allen Funeral Home in Ridgeland is in charge.  

James Robertson Jr. was born on November 26, 1936, in Jasper County, SC. He was the son of the late James Robertson Sr., of Savannah, GA, and the late Eva Witter, of Point South, SC.

James was educated in the Jasper County public school system. At an early age, he relocated to New York City. There he worked several jobs during his lifetime, including Vanguard Pest Control of Newark, NJ, where he retired after 30 years.

James was preceded in death by his parents James Robertson Sr. and Eva Witter, his daughter Vivian Drake, his sisters Betty Witter, Margaret Jones (Larry), and his Brothers in law Homie Holmes and Eddie Mitchell.

James Robertson Jr. leaves to cherish his memories; his sons Herbert Robertson of Gillisonville, SC, Lorenzo Wade (Tina, Deceased) of Coosawhatchie, SC, James Robinson Jr. (Marian) of Tampa FL, Don E. Robertson of Sheldon, SC and Darryl Robertson of Beaufort, SC; daughter Argeana M. McDomick (Philander) of St. Helena Island, SC; Loving bonus daughters Bertie R Cobbs (Kevin) of Bronx, NY and Gloria R. Mungin (Joseph, Deceased) of Point South, SC.; His sisters, Missionary Mother Mary E. James (Bill) of Levittown, PA; Missionary Bertha Holmes (Homie, Deceased) of Brooklyn, NY; Dr. Annie Grace Witter of Virginia Beach, VA; Shirley Roberts Ruth (John) of Savannah, GA, and Dorothy Mitchell of Savannah, GA; His brothers, Elder Walter Witter of Point South, SC; Lee Robertson of Savannah GA; and A son in law, Robert Drake (Vivian, deceased); 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. To include close friends John Mscisz of Bristol, PA, and Estella Brown.

Please keep in mind that due to the novel virus, COVID-19, State, and Gov. officials have mandated social distancing. At this time all gatherings at Allen Funeral Home will be limited to thirty (30) guests; This includes Funeral Services, Visitations/wakes, and Arrangement meetings as per the State.  Facial covering (mask) is required upon arriving at our facility and during all services provided by Allen Funeral.
