Sammy Davis “Fatz” Freeman, son Frank Lloyd, Sr. and the late Audrey Freeman was born February 7, 1969 on St. Helena Island, SC. He departed this life on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Medical University, Charleston, SC.
Sammy received his education in the local public school system in Beaufort County. He was later employed at Exxon gas station before becoming disabled.
His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his dear family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his father, Frank (Bessie) Lloyd, Sr., of Yemassee, SC; four daughters, Shameika Freeman of Lady’s Island, SC, Erica Freeman of St. Helena Island, SC, Sa’Mani Freeman of Boston, MA, and Olivia Freeman of Beaufort, SC; five grandchildren, Zion Freeman, K’lani Smalls, Sinai Adams, Zyonna Freeman and Jermy Adams, Jr., all of Beaufort, SC; four sisters, Pearlie Mae Wiggs, Veronica (Marion) Mack both of St. Helena Island, SC, Patricia Glover and Earnice Lloyd-Haynes of Yemassee, SC; seven brothers, John (Claretha) Freeman, Jr., Joe Nathan Freeman, Donald Freeman, Eric (Sholanda) Freeman, Sr. all of St. Helena Island, SC, Frank (Shavon) Lloyd Jr., Alfred Gardner of Charlotte, NC and Raheem Lloyd of Hilton Head, SC; his uncle, Edgar (Bernice) Lloyd of Washington, DC; three aunts, Essie Mae Williams of Port Royal, Agnes McDuffie of Grays Hill, SC and Diane (Don) Green of Lady’s Island, SC; a special friend, Michelle Green; to include a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
