James King, Jr.

James King, Jr. was born to the late James King, Sr. and Susan Gadson King in Ridgeland, SC. James was educated in Jasper County School system. James began working as Waynline Manufacturing Company in Ridgeland at a very young age. After the closing of Waynline, James became an employee at the Greenery Landscape on Hilton Head Island, SC where he work for 22 years, after leaving the Greenery  he was employed by the  SCDOT for 21 years retired in 2008.
James was a loving husband, father, uncle grandfather, cousin, and friend. James enjoyed shooting pool and cooking, Mr. James’s cooking was indeed the best. On Sunday evenings, his home was filled with family and friends who enjoyed his tasty collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread stuffing, the best in South Carolina. 
On Monday March 18, 2019 at his residence James King, Jr. entered into eternal rest. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three children, baby boy King, Dorothy Scott and Sharon Scott; two brother and two sisters, Mr. Woodrow King, Lenville King, Louvenia King and Priscilla Mozee.
He leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia H. King; his children, Debra (Welkie) White, Patricia (Louis) Frazier of Ridgeland, SC, James (Sarita) King of New Haven, CT, Tonya Jones, Anthony King, Kimberly King, Treniecia (Alfred) Simmons all of Ridgeland, SC, Eframe’ Holmes of Atlanta, GA, Justice King of Beaufort, SC, to include his spiritual children, Mary Ann (Michael) Holmes of Beaufort, SC, Debra (Robert) Brockington of Ridgeland, SC, David Williams of Hardeeville, SC. Ruthie and Charles Bitten; siblings, Shirley (Marion) Green of Ridgeland, SC, Sevelle (Sonny) Capers of Cummings, SC, Alice King Coosawhatchie, SC; sisters in law, Joyce King, Josie Belle King of Ridgeland, SC, Francine Brown of Bethlehem, Pa, Michelle (Anthony) Lowe, Teresa  Jackson of NY; brothers in law, Leonard (Sheila) Scott of MD, David (Gwen) Brown of NY, James Mozee, Jerome (Michelle ) Brown of VA and Pearle (John) Bowers; 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends to include William (Patricia) Rhett, Monique Bleacher and Emma Perry.
