Mr. Hoyt Jamison, 89, son of the late John and Alice Jamison was born November 9, 1929 in Islandton, SC.
At an early age, Hoyt joined Deep Creek Baptist Church and received his formal education in the pubic school system of Colleton county.
Hoyt relocated to Leesburg, Florida where he worked as a carpenter and farmer for over 30 years before returning home to be with his family. He enjoyed meeting and talking to many people he met as he sold his produce along the roadside throughout the different counties.
On Sunday, September 15, 2019, he departed this life at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Walterboro, SC. He had four siblings to preceded him in death, Riddick, Virginia, Jackie and Heber.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Susen M. Sanders of Islandton, SC and Zorrie Wrice of Jacksonville, Florida; devoted nephew, Frederick (Lesley) Jamison; devoted great nephew, Samuel R. Jamison of Islandton, SC; one step-son, Christopher Owens; two step-daughters, Tonni and Tonia Owens all of Walterboro, SC; one sister in law, Ruth Jamison of Islandton, SC; one grandson, Sincere Jamaal Owens; special cousin, Geroy Jamison; former wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Jamison; along with a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
