Harold Lee Lingard

Brother Harold L. Lingard, Sr. was born July 4, 1937 in Ruffin, South Carolina to the late Rebecca Crosby Lingard and Benny Lingard Sr. Harold spent his early years in various parts of the low country and Newark, New Jersey. He was a former member of Harvest Chapel Baptist Church in St. George, South Carolina.
Harold moved from South Carolina with his family to Newark, New Jersey. After spending nine years in New Jersey, Harold relocated back to Orangeburg, South Carolina. He worked for the Orangeburg Park and Recreation Department for many years until he retired.  
Harold Lingard Sr. was married to Ethel Mae Murdaugh Lingard and to this union nine children were born. 
He entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2019. Harold was preceded in death are his father and mother, sisters Eunice, Bessie, Inez and Mary, brothers: Jesse, Mondale and Benny Jr.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories five loving daughters: Judy Kelly of Orangeburg, SC, Sandra “Jessie” Smalls of Columbia, SC, “Linda Williams of Orangeburg, SC, Valerie “Gerald” Nesbitt of Irmo, SC, Sheila Lingard of Orangeburg, SC; four sons: Benjamin Lingard of Orangeburg, SC, James “Keron” Lingard of Warner Robins, Georgia, Harold “Trilby” Lingard of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Reginald Lingard of Rentol Washington; 18 grand children and 15 great grand children along with a host of other relatives and friends; Harold Sr. is also survived by three sisters: Retha Lingard, Reba Lawton of Ruffin, SC and Queen Esther Lingard of Walterboro, SC.
